This is a picture of our chamber in place, just outside the classroom door. It was great at first–no issues or vandalism. We waited for a bit as the school year progressed–multiple changes in administration and maintenance. (I needed the proper permissions.)
After a couple of weeks, temps were consistently a few degrees higher in the chamber vs. the control plot. However, the temps dropped and little growth was noted in either plot. In addition, the chamber started to be knocked over each night. We will try it again in the spring both in the field and in the forested area. In the meantime, we are awaiting snowfall to see how the warming chamber impacts snow melt.
